Why Himalayan salt?

How much Sodium do i really need?
Dr. DiNicolantonio’s research has shown the optimum salt intake to be around 3,000-5,000 milligrams of sodium per day for most people on non-workout days (This doesn’t include people who have hyperaldosteronism, Cushing’s disease, or Liddle syndrome. These conditions can cause people to retain too much salt, so people with these conditions do need to keep salt intake lower).
On workout days, Dr. DiNicolantonio says you may need somewhere between 5,000 and 7,000 mg of sodium depending on how hard you’re working out and how much you’re sweating.
There are a variety of other factors that influence how much sodium is healthy for you, like whether you’re pregnant or nursing, whether you eat a high-sugar diet, whether you eat a low-carb diet, whether you have inflammatory bowel disease, and whether you have kidney disease. Can I drink Himalayan Salt water all day?
Absolutely! Himalayan Salt Water has 150mg of salt in 500ml of water. The human body sweats out salts, other minerals and electrolytes throughout the day, and at an increased rate when working out.

What are the signs of Low Sodium?

Is Himalayan Salt from the Himalayas?
Absolutely. We start with water from a pristine source in Quebec, Canada. The water is further purified down to H2O (to remove any and all impurities), and from there we blend together an artisanal mix of Himalayan Pink salt and minerals mined from the Salt Range in Pakistan in the Himalayan Mountains. What types of minerals does Himalayan Salt Water contain?
Himalayan water is natural artesian water that has pure Pink Himalayan salt minerals which include sodium, magnesium, calcium, and silica which contribute to Himalayan Waters soft mouth-feel and incredible taste.
What is the PH of Himalayan water?
Fiji water’s PH is ~7.0. Pure or purified water has a PH of 7. Drinking and natural water can range in PH due to dissolved minerals and gases.
Solutions with a PH of less than 7 are said to be “acidic” and those higher than 7, “alkaline”.
What kind of plastic does Himalayan water use to make their bottles?
Himalayan Saltwater’s bottles are made from high-grade pet (polyethylene terephthalate) plastic, which is designated with the #1 code at the bottom of the bottle. The FDA approves pet as safe for contact with food and beverages. PET is also fully recyclable and can be transformed into a number of products such as food and beverage packages, apparel, carpet, automotive parts, and construction materials. Does Himalayan water's packaging contain bisphenol a (BPA)?
No, Himalayan Water packaging is not made with bisphenol a (BPA), a chemical intermediate used to make plastics and resin. Himalayan water bottles have never contained BPA.
Does Himalayan water come in glass bottles?
Himalayan water does not come in glass bottles. We bottle our water exclusively in high-grade PET bottles, as that is the optimal packaging that protects the quality of our water (against oxygen migration and carbon dioxide which can affect taste), ensures product safety (no breakage), and minimizes environmental impact (lightweight, lower emission during transport and less waste).
What is the shelf life of Himalayan water?
Himalayan water uses the standard “best by” date for all water sold in the Canada of two years. The “best by” date can be found on the back of each Himalayan water bottle, beneath the label. The FDA does not require an expiration date.
